landscaping frenzie

I'm putting everyone around here to work on some landscaping and stealing some idea's from my neighbor. I have some crazy "full sun" very hot area's right next to "full shade" area's and my brainstorming has me running around in circles!

Help! Do you have a favorite plant that has worked well in your yard?

Do share :)

Hi Darlene
We have an English Country garden & some of the easy to grow plants we have are ~ Yarrow (also a fantastic mosquito repellent), Daylily, Hosta, Coreopsis and Purple Salvia. Happy Gardening ♥

I've noticed my iris do pretty well anywhere: bleeding heart, lariope and hosta do well in shade :: foxglove beardtongue, echinacea, yarrow, aster, seedum for sun. :) and sunflowers, of course. alyssum and lobelia grow well from seed...and herbs, lots of herbs in the sunny parts!

I LOVE this photo. My grandma had those flowers by the zillions in her garden and called them "Johnny Jump Ups." As littles we picked them for her constantly and she always acted thrilled and put them in glass vases.

Hello beautiful! I wanted to put my own lil message on here, and say Hi! I started a blog after I came home from my visit with Don and Wanda, and I hope that it's ok that I follow your blog? I am SUPER brand new to all this, still trying to figure it out...but it's so much fun, and is good for me. I hope to call you this week, I'm back in school again, taking 12 units til August, so I'm busy busy busy...but I'm better that way. Miss you lots, and hope the weather is agreeing with you at least somewhat...I love you much, and tell Angela I said hello...I hope to hear from you soon!
